Women and Girls

Author Visits - Kylie Orr and Amanda Hampson (8).png

Council recently conducted a survey to determine what assistance can be provided to fitness centre’s, sporting clubs, community clubs & groups to get more women and girls active.

Survey responses from 25 businesses and clubs confirmed that the support that was most needed was assistance with advertising and promotion of women and girls’ activities to help boost membership and attendance.

64% of responding clubs were currently providing women and girls activities, 30% were not currently providing women and girls activities and 6% of clubs did not provide women and girls activities but indicated that they would like to.

This NEW Online Activity Resource was created due to feedback received. Businesses and clubs can update their listing anytime and seek support from Council to feature any new programs they would like to initiate.
