The Push All-Ages Tour in Wangaratta

Car-Parking Payment System Update

The Rural City of Wangaratta is actively preparing for a modernised car-parking payment system. Many of the 72 current machines, installed in 2015, have reached the end of their functional life. They rely on 3G technology, which is no longer supported across telecommunications networks.

Folk Rhythm & Life Festival to Attract Visitors to Region

The three-day Folk Rhythm & Life Festival will take place on December 6-8 this year, with a lineup featuring over 60 acts and more yet to be announced.

Event plans for the festival were approved by Council last month. This year’s event will once again take place at the Bilyana Natural Amphitheatre in Eldorado.

Active Travel to School with Wangaratta West Primary School

The Rural City of Wangaratta is delighted to launch the second iteration of the Active Travel to School program. The program was launched in August 2023 and encourages students to walk or ride to school by activating footpaths around Wangaratta.

The initiative is part of Council’s commitment to VicHealth’s Local Government Partnership Program and is part of the Building Active Communities module
