EXPRESSION OF INTEREST WAREENA PARK (FORMER BOWLS CLUB)
Council’s vision for the Wareena Park precinct is to have a thriving community hub for various community groups to co- exist.
Expressions of interest are welcome (but not limited) to include the Wareena Park (former bowls club) building can be repurposed and utilised to include spaces for one or various community groups to operate from.
Future developments for the precinct will complement the vision of the adopted Wareena Park Master Plan.
Site inspections are welcome via appointment or open day Wednesday 9 April 10 – 11.30am
Council is formally seeking Expressions of Interest from community groups to enter into an agreement to occupy/use the former Bowls Club building. The agreement will be for short term occupation/usage for 12 – 18 months with possibility of an extension.
The building has previously been used as bowls club.
The building consists of large meeting area and a kitchen area, 1 x office space, 1 x office/storage room and toilet facilities, with access to both the car park and outside area. The main area is carpeted with air-conditioning and a high roof span. Please see attached floor plan.
Expression of Interest Request
As part of their EOI, respondents are requested to provide the following information and will be evaluated based on:
1. Applications will be considered on financial or in-kind contribution to occupy/use the building.
2. A Community Group/operational plan, include days and times of use required by your group and spaces need for your group to function from.
3. Consider how sharing this space with other community groups will work for your organisation, please also indicate the number of members in your organisation.
4. Please include any changes to the building you think are essential in order for your club to operate effectively from this space.
5. How the proposal will meet the vision for the Wareena Park Master Plan. How the proposal will enhance and grow the space at Wareena Park.
Closing Date: Form submissions on the Wareena Park (former Bowls Club) EOI will be received up to 4.00pm on Tuesday 15 April 2025
