Ashlee Fitzpatrick is in her second term as a Rural City of Wangaratta Councillor.
Ashlee is 23 years old and elected at the age of 19 making her the youngest person to join Wangaratta Council in the city’s history and youngest councillor in Victoria at the time.
Wangaratta born and bred, Ashlee attended Wangaratta West Primary School and then to Wangaratta High School where she was a Prefect during her VCE.
Ashlee was former Wangaratta Youth Mayor in 2015/16 and is involved in community groups including Relay for Life and Zonta. She completed Alpine Valleys Community Leadership Program (AVCLP) and also volunteers at Gateway Health.
She believes local government is all about the people and she wants to make sure there’s plenty of communication between the council and the community. The reason Ashlee ran for council was for the need of diversity of gender, age and ideas.
