Make a payment

You can make your Council payments using any of the following methods.

Pay accounts/animals/infringements online

BPAY

Contact your participating financial institution to make payment directly from your bank account. You will be required to enter the Biller Code and BPAY reference number as detailed on your notice.

Direct Debit

You can set up a direct debit to automatically pay your rates invoice or statement from your account.

Call 1300 653 934 to make a payment over the phone using Mastercard or Visa.

Payment can be made by cash, cheque, EFTPOS or credit card at our Government Service Centre, 62 - 68 Ovens Street, Wangaratta.

Australia Post

Take your relevant notice into any post office or agency. Payment can be made by cash, cheque or EFTPOS.

Post

Detach the payment slip and mail with a cheque to Rural City of Wangaratta, PO Box 238, Wangaratta VIC 3676.

Please make cheques payable to "Wangaratta Rural City Council". Please note that receipts will not be issued for mailed payments.

Refund Request

If any person believes that they are entitled to receive a refund, a refund request, detailing the payment and an explanation as to why a refund is sought, may be lodged with Council.

This request can be lodged by email at council@wangaratta.vic.gov.au or in writing to Rural City of Wangaratta, PO Box 238, Wangaratta, VIC 3676. It will be considered by the relevant Council department and a response will be provided within 14 days.
