Local CFA Brigades, Rural City of Wangaratta and CFA Community Safety are hosting a FREE Fire Safety Planning Workshop.

Session runs from 8:45 to 12pm, followed by lunch from 12-1pm.

Cheshunt, Whitfield & District and Edi Brigades are hosting a FREE Fire Safety Planning workshop for local communities. The session aims to:

provide you with the opportunity to expand your understanding of your fire risk, both geographically and personally through an interactive and hands on experience
provide you with the information you need to take action to develop your individual fire plans
assist you to make realistic and adaptable fire plans, which consider your own personal capacity and capability
encourage you to undertake ongoing preparedness and planning activities help you to enact your fire plans when required to reduce loss of life and property
the seasonal bushfire outlook will be discussed as there is an increased risk of fire indicated for north-east Victoria
Steve Tucker, Emergency Management Coordinator, Rural City of Wangaratta, is speaking on the role of the Shire in emergency management
