Local CFA Brigades, Rural City of Wangaratta and CFA Community Safety are hosting a FREE Fire Safety Planning Workshop.
Session runs from 8:45 to 12pm, followed by lunch from 12-1pm.

Cheshunt, Whitfield & District and Edi Brigades are hosting a FREE Fire Safety Planning workshop for local communities. The session aims to:
- provide you with the opportunity to expand your understanding of your fire risk, both geographically and personally through an interactive and hands on experience
- provide you with the information you need to take action to develop your individual fire plans
- assist you to make realistic and adaptable fire plans, which consider your own personal capacity and capability
- encourage you to undertake ongoing preparedness and planning activities help you to enact your fire plans when required to reduce loss of life and property
- the seasonal bushfire outlook will be discussed as there is an increased risk of fire indicated for north-east Victoria
- Steve Tucker, Emergency Management Coordinator, Rural City of Wangaratta, is speaking on the role of the Shire in emergency management
