March into Sustainability - Events Announced

The Rural City of Wangaratta announces its upcoming March into Sustainability series of events taking place throughout the month of March. These engaging events will delve into important topics such as native wildlife, biodiversity, and food security, offering attendees both educational insights and memorable experiences.

Developed in collaboration with local community groups, the series aims to raise awareness about pressing environmental issues in an interactive and enjoyable format. It's a wonderful opportunity for people to come together, explore the outdoors, and discover ways to support sustainable practices for the well-being of our community and planet.

Mayor Irene Grant:

“Through recent community engagement on our new Council Plan, residents highlighted the natural environment as a top priority. The March into Sustainability series reflects our commitment to protecting and preserving our surroundings. By working alongside local organisations, we’re empowering people of all ages to take meaningful action towards a greener, healthier and sustainable future."
