Community Vigil to Honour Lives Lost and Share a Message of Hope

The Centre Against Violence (CAV) invites you to join us for a special vigil at King George Gardens, Wangaratta on Thursday, 28th November from 5:30 PM – 7:00 PM. This is a time to honor lives lost to family and sexual violence while coming together to share a message of hope and strength.

The vigil is part of the 16 Days of Activism Against Gender-Based Violence campaign—a global call to raise awareness, spark conversations, and take action to end violence.

Special guest speaker Conor Pall, Deputy Chair of the Victorian Victim Survivor’s Advisory Council, will share his powerful story and insights on creating safer, more respectful communities.

Let’s come together to reflect, remember, and stand united for a brighter future, free from violence. Together, we can create change.

Thank you to @safe_and_equal @respectvictoria and the Rural City of Wangaratta for funding this important project.

A special thank you to Zonta Wangaratta and Mungabareena Aboriginal Corporation for their support in making this event possible. Alongside our supporters Statewide Children’s Resource Program, @junctionsupportservices , @uppermurrayfamilycare , @northeasthealthwang and @victoriapolice .
