As the local government elections will be held on 26 October 2024, The Rural City of Wangaratta will assume a caretaker role from Tuesday 17 September 2024. During the caretaker period, there will be limited changes made to the content on Council's websites. Information will only be added to this website in accordance with caretaker requirements.
South Wangaratta Reserve has three fields and hosts soccer and cricket games on a regular basis. Archery is also played at this reserve, and there is a playground and picnic tables.
The Reserve is also home to the Wangaratta Speedway, which hosts a number of races and events throughout the year.
You are welcome to let your dogs run around off leash on the western side of the reserve, between the creek and the drive, so don't forget your furry friends! Dogs are not allowed on the sports ovals and fields.
