Built in 1875, the historic Oxley Shire Hall originally served as Council Chambers for the Oxley Shire. Today, it stands as a testament to heritage and community spirit, believed to be the oldest continually used community building in North-East Victoria.

The hall offers a range of versatile spaces, including:

  • A spacious main area with a stage
  • A smaller meeting room
  • A supper room and fully equipped kitchen

Surrounded by open grounds shaded by elm trees over 140 years old, the Oxley Shire Hall provides a backdrop for a variety of occasions.

Managed by a volunteer committee on behalf of the Rural City of Wangaratta, this restored venue is available for hire for:

  • Weddings
  • Luncheons and meetings
  • Community events
  • Sporting activities (e.g., table tennis)
  • And much more

The hall also hosts the Oxley Bush Market every November, drawing visitors from near and far. With ample parking for both cars and buses, the venue is easy to access and ideal for both large and small gatherings.

Whether you’re planning a celebration, community event, or activity, the Oxley Shire Hall offers a charming and historic setting for your event.
