AFL North East Border

Established in 2013, AFL North East Border is the governing body for Australian Rules football in the Region and affiliated to AFL Victoria Country and is Governed by a 9-person independent Commission.

Operationally, the cornerstone to AFLNEB’s function is the Regional Administration Centre situated in Wodonga with a satellite office at the WSDC at the Wangaratta Showgrounds. Known as a RAC, the administrative operations of AFLNEB includes League management, Game and Club Development and Umpiring Departments. The RAC is vital to the management and development of the game with all departments working in collaboration. The scope of responsibility for AFLNEB includes over 60 clubs in 7 leagues and its Regional Umpiring Department across 11 Local Government Areas.

Albury City Council, City of Wodonga, City of Wangaratta, Rural City of Benalla, Alpine Shire, Towong Shire, Indigo Shire, Moira Shire, Mansfield Shire, Snowy Valley Council and Federation Shire.

Australian Rules Football plays a critical role in the local economy, the health and well-being of local communities as well as providing important leadership and life skills to young men and women and AFLNEB and its member clubs are valued community organizations.
