Wangaratta Library Launches Chatty Café
From this week Wangaratta Library will host regular Chatty Café events on Wednesdays at 10.30am. Chatty Café offers an opportunity for people to connect over morning tea in a friendly, relaxed environment.
Chatty Café is designed as place to meet new people, connect with your local community, and enjoy good company. Whether you live alone, work from home, are a young person, a new parent, a grandparent, or new to the area, Chatty Café is open to everyone.
Originating in the UK the Chatty Café Scheme is a global grassroots initiative. There are currently around 200 venues active in Australia including: cafes, restaurants, clubs, pubs, community centres, libraries, churches, schools, aged-care residences, retirement villages, neighbourhood houses, hotels, clubs, wine bars and art galleries.
Meeting new people can sometimes feel daunting, but the power of a simple conversation can truly brighten your day. Wangaratta Library is proud to offer this space for meaningful connections.
No bookings are needed. Free tea and coffee are provided, or feel free to bring your own. For more information, contact Wangaratta Library.
