Supporting Mental Health in the Workplace: Applications Now Open for Mental Health First Aid Scholarships

Project 365 in partnership with The Grit and Resilience Program, is proud to announce the development of the Mental Health First Aid (MHFA) Scholarship Program for small to medium businesses across the Rural City of Wangaratta. This initiative provides fully funded training to help businesses create supportive, mentally healthy workplaces.

Mental health is critical in today’s fast-paced work environments, particularly for small businesses. The MHFA training equips staff with the skills to recognise and respond to mental health challenges, reducing stigma, absenteeism, and improving morale.

Who Can Apply: The scholarship is open to businesses within the Rural City of Wangaratta that have between 1 and 100 employees. Applications are open now, closing December 13, 2024. The training itself will take place in March 2025, offering practical tools to create a positive and supportive workplace for employees and others who may face mental health challenges.

What You Get:

  • Free Mental Health First training opportunities.
  • A chance to be part of a community-wide initiative supporting local businesses.

How to Apply: Business owners and managers can apply online via the Rural City of Wangaratta website https://www.wangaratta.vic.gov.au/MHFA
