Gardener’s Library: Cultivating Community and Sustainability

The Wangaratta Library will launch the Gardener’s Library on Thursday 20 March 2025 from 2:00 to 3:30 pm. This innovative new initiative is aimed at empowering our community's gardeners.

A unique resource, it will offer gardening materials, from seeds to plant cuttings and even old newspapers for composting - making it easier for local gardeners to grow and nurture their green spaces.

Designed to cater to gardeners of all skill levels, the Gardener’s Library aims to encourage sustainable living and provide valuable resources for those interested in growing their own food and plants.

The official launch event is an opportunity for community to discover how the Gardener’s Library operates. Attendees can connect with fellow gardening enthusiasts and learn how to access the available resources.

Loueen Twyford, Library Coordinator:

“It is great to launch this project as part of the March into Sustainability series. We hope the Gardeners Library will foster a greener, more connected community and expect the project to develop and thrive for many years to come.”
