Draft Climate Mitigation & Adaptation Policy

Council is seeking feedback on its  DRAFT Climate Mitigation & Adaptation Policy.

This policy acknowledges there is a legislative requirement, moral obligation, and community expectation for Council to manage its climate change responsibilities through mitigation and adaptation actions. It also confirms that a response to climate change is a whole of Council commitment that will guide ongoing planning and actions in the municipality and it reflects Council’s commitment to provide leadership on climate change action to our community.

Submissions are invited on the DRAFT Climate Mitigation & Adaptation Policy and must be received by 5pm Friday 11 February 2022

Due to the current COVID-19 situation we will be holding an online community consultation regarding our Climate Adaptation and Mitigation Policy.
