The Rural City of Wangaratta is excited to announce an upcoming recruitment event in partnership with Workforce Australia, aimed at bridging the gap between employers and potential candidates in the care sector. This event will focus on facilitating connections for roles in Aged Care, Disability, and Early Childhood Education.

Scheduled to take place at the Wangaratta Performing Arts and Conference Centre on Thursday, February 29th, 2024, from 9:30 am to 12:30 pm, the event promises to be an invaluable opportunity for both employers and job seekers alike.

Participating employers will have the opportunity to showcase their businesses and available employment opportunities through allocated stalls. This setup will allow attendees to engage directly with representatives from various organisations, gaining insights into current job openings and the overall landscape of the care sector.

Rural City of Wangaratta Mayor, Dean Rees expressed his enthusiasm for the event, emphasising its significance in connecting employers with individuals passionate about making a difference in the care sector. He stated, "This recruitment event is an excellent opportunity for employers to engage with individuals interested in available roles, where attendees will have the chance to learn about current job openings and gain insights from professionals already working in the field."
