Aussie Muscle Car, Show N' Shine

The Rural City of Wangaratta is delighted to partner with Variety South Australia to support the Aussie Muscle Car Run as they journey to Wangaratta for a Show and Shine on Monday 23 October. Car enthusiasts, mark your calendars!

The much-anticipated annual Aussie Muscle Car Run, an eight-day cruise featuring classic two-door high-performance vehicles of the golden era, is set to roll through Wangaratta. This event not only celebrates the automotive heritage but also raises crucial funds for Variety SA's vital charity work supporting children and families facing challenges due to sickness, disadvantage, or disability.

Starting from Murray Bridge in South Australia and culminating at the iconic Mt Panorama in Bathurst, the event includes a two-night stopover right here in Wangaratta. Residents and visitors alike are in for a treat as these impressive muscle cars grace our streets. This is an opportunity to get up close and personal with these remarkable vehicles that are sure to captivate even the most discerning spectators.

“Working with Variety SA and our local businesses, we have coordinated a chance for locals to get close to these magnificent machines of yester year” Mayor Dean Rees said.

“Reid Street will be lined top to bottom with muscle cars parked for your enjoyment and viewing pleasure. There will be live music and some businesses will be staying open late for your convenience” he continued.

The Wangaratta Rod and Custom Club plays a significant role in making this event possible. They will coordinate the group’s activities during their stay and the event offers an excellent opportunity to connect with their members.
