We are currently experiencing staff shortages and this is leading to a significant delay in processing building permits.

For new building permits you are advised to contact a private building surveyor.  Any building surveyor registered in Victoria can provide this service, and you can find private building surveyors operating in our area by conducting a Google search.

 

Swimming Pools and Spas

 

Council offers a service for the inspection of swimming pool or spa barriers so you can meet your compliance obligations.

The inspection fee can be found on our current schedule of fees.Building-Fees-and-Charges.pdf(PDF, 262KB)
There is also a fee for the lodgment of your certificate of barrier compliance on Council’s pool/spa register. 

To request a pool/spa inspection please email buildingmail@wangaratta.vic.gov.au. 
We will invoice you the inspection fee and then arrange a mutually suitable time.

 

Alternatively, a registered private building surveyor or building inspector can provide an inspection service.
