Beauty, Body Art or Health business registration

If you’re thinking about setting up one of the following businesses, you will need to register it with us.

  • Hairdressers and barbers
  • Beauty therapy
  • Tattooing
  • Skin penetration
  • Colonic irrigation
  • Teeth whitening

Hairdressers and make up only businesses only need to register once and are not required to renew their registration annually. However if the business changes hands or moves location, you will need to update the registration.

We strongly recommend you speak to one of our Environmental Health Officers about your application. They can give you advice and tips to ensure you complete your application correctly.

One of our Environmental Health Officers will contact you to discuss your application, and arrange a pre-registration inspection of your premises

Step 5.Approval

Once your premises is compliant, you will be issued with a certificate of registration and can commence trading!
