Infrastructure Design Manual

Infrastructure Design Manual

The aims of the Infrastructure Design Manual is to implement a set of norms and standards across various participating local authorities within Victoria, with regard to planning and engineering standards.

A group of three Councils (City of Greater Bendigo, Greater City of Shepparton and the Shire of Campaspe) jointly developed the Manual and these founding Councils have agreed to share access to this Manual, in an on-line format, with other Councils including the Wangaratta Rural City Council.  This joint initiative is one which recognises the benefits of municipalities working together towards consistent requirements and standards for the design and development of infrastructure.

The Infrastructure Design Manual was adopted by the Wangaratta Rural City Council with effect 1 January 2008.

Prospective Developers and their Agents are encouraged to familiarise themselves with the manual's contents and to ensure that their future proposals and submissions are aligned to the contents of the Infrastructure Design Manual .

The Infrastructure Design Manual is scheduled to be reviewed on an annual basis.
