Participating in Food Stalls, Markets and Events

The requirements for selling food at markets, stalls and through mobile food vehicles have changed. Depending on your food operations your responsibilities may vary under the Food Act legislation.

All Operators are required to submit a 'Statement of Trade' to Council and provide a copy to their Victorian registering Council.

You also need a Victorian Food Act registration. If you are from interstate, you must register with the first Victorian Council in which you trade.

This system became electronic in 2012 and is known as strEATrader.

For further information please contact Council's Environmental Health team on (03) 5722 0888 or email council@wangaratta.vic.gov.au
