HP Barr Reserve Skate Park Upgrade Project

This project aims to address an existing need within the community to upgrade the HP Barr Reserve Skate Park, Wangaratta.

The Rural City of Wangaratta is working closely with local young people in the planning, development and implementation of this project. The aim of the group is to better include and support the local skating community in matters that affect them, build their capacity to respond to their own priorities and strengthen relationships between the local skaters, wider community and the Rural City of Wangaratta.

The HP Barr Reserve Skate Park Upgrade includes:

  • security lighting
  • shade sails
  • extra rails for BMX, scooter and skateboarding
  • spectator seating

This project is funded by the Federal Government Stronger Communities Programme and Rural City of Wangaratta, with a combined total cost of $43, 125.
