Pubs, footy training and the pool will host the next round of consultation for Our Road Map, also known as the Rural City of Wangaratta’s Council Plan 2017-2021.
Some 387 ideas were raised in the first round of consultation at Wangaratta Library.
With those ideas on board Council has developed a discussion paper to report back to the community on their ideas.
“We’ve gone through the first round of consultation and had an amazing reaction from our community,” Rural City of Wangaratta Mayor Ken Clarke said.
“Now we want to go back to the community and say, based on what you’ve told us, this is where we’re heading with Our Road Map.
“We want people to tell us if we’re on the right track or need some new directions.”
This round of consultation will run from 5 – 19 April and will take place primarily in rural pubs across the municipality.
“Councillors and Council staff will be present at each of the sessions and we encourage the community to make the most of this additional opportunity to get involved,” he said.
Following this round of consultation a Draft Council Plan will be developed and placed on public exhibition in early May.
