Rural City of Wangaratta
Tenders and Expressions of Interest

Tenders and Expressions of Interest

The Wangaratta Rural City Council's tendering process is conducted in accordance with Commonwealth and Victorian Government legislation which aims to:

  • encourage competitive behaviour in the market;
  • ensure that consumers are protected from unfair market practices;
  • enable consistent impartial evaluation of tenders;
  • be fair in providing potential suppliers the opportunity to submit tenders for supply to the Wangaratta Rural City Council; and
  • ensure that the goods, works or services procured are of appropriate quality and at the most advantageous price.

In addition to advertising in Council's Rural City Connection feature in the Wangaratta Chronicle (Friday's edition), advertisements requiring regional coverage will be placed in the Border Mail newspaper whilst advertising requiring statewide coverage will be placed in The Age newspaper.

Tender documents are generally available for download free of charge.  Hard copies of tenders are available from the Customer Service unit at the Wangaratta Government Centre, Cnr Ford and Ovens Streets, Wangaratta.  Please note that costs are associated with hard copies of tenders.

Tenderers will generally be given a minimum of 21 days notice (except where the nature of the goods/service requires a shorter or longer period) in which to submit tenders.
